Tarver's heavyweight resume is pretty thin with the only good names being Steve Cunningham and Jonathan Banks being on it. With that said those guys are pretty much blown up Cruiserweights like Tarver but are very highly skilled fighters. We must also keep in mind Tarver was well into his 40's when he fought north of 200. Ruiz on the other hand was a career heavyweight and a pretty durable although awful fighter to watch. Tarver is without question the better fighter but Ruiz was able to gri d out wins against guys that were better than him and he would be without question the stronger man. I'm still picking Tarver because I do believe he has enough skill to out box and counter the ugly fight game that Ruiz brings. I can't ever pick a man with Norman Stone in his corner. **** that guy!
