Antonio Tarver vs Nagy Aguilera October 15

He's really, really bad. I watched a few of his fights prior to Maskaev and thought that even a badly shot old Oleg might beat him. Of course his chin failed him yet again, but it had nothing to do with Aguilera being any good.

 

He lost his last fight to Maurice frigging Harris. As long as Tarver has any stamina left at all, he should be able to box Aguilera's ears off.

Tarver is STILL a better boxer than most of the guys in the HW division. My biggest issue is that he's always shied away from contact, even at LHW, and that will just be magnified when the punchers are bigger.

 

Good luck to him. I hope Tarver does well.

 

Seriously? These jumps in weight among professional boxers never ceases to amaze me. I don't understand why Tarver isn't at cruiser right now. Cruiser is hot, and Jones Jr. is fighting at cruiser as well.

Nagy isn't a highly ranked boxer right now after losing to 24-14 Maurice Harris but this is a great opportunity for him to turn it around.

 

The money for fighting a Klit or Haye would dwarf any cruiser fight, he'll get beat up, but needs the cash. :!:

Good luck to Tarver but he should stick to commentating on Showtime while his brain is still intact.

 

I agree, Tarver did a great job as far as physical authenticity.

It used to be they had to do it for the money which was sad but yet understandable. Now days you got guys who got all the money they will ever need like Bhop and Tarver and who also could get a regular announcing gig if they wanted it and they still want to fight.

Mo hasn't been all bad and has some decent wins and can box. I disagree about tarver having any success, yes he can 'box' better than a lot of guys, but any half decent young hw will provide big problems b/c old tarver can be hit and he will be hurt at hw. and tarver's skinny old milk dud body ain't bringing his power to hw. unless tarver finds the best PED known to man, he ain't doing **** at hw (as bad as the division goes) and I will go out on a limb (appaarently) and say the naggy A will be tough fight and maybe even a loss (even tho i ain't seen too much, cuz i've seen he has some power and some quickness)

 

he was supposed to look that way...he was supposed to not look in top condition because it was just an exhibition match and he didn''t know rocky was seriously trying to win.

 

yeah tarver is going to win at least 9 of these rounds, but I don't see him doing too well either after that...
