Enough with the bull**** already....who isn't calling out DLH?... I know Williams sure has....so what if he wants to get a fat pay check before Oscar retires... good for him. Margarito has fought all the top guys at 147 except for Mosely and Berto...he beat Cotto who IMO was the baddest MF at 147 so stop whining already. I'm sure they'll fight again if Williams can still make weight.

 

I appreciate Williams, but to me it's not only ***** but punk that Team Williams DUCKED Margarito after the first fight and refused an immediate rematch. And now they're all over Margarito's nuts because his **** is hot. It's a ****ing joke, IMO. Come lately bull**** at it's absolute worst.

 

Isn't that logical?, I mean why would they offer him good amounts for a rematch when they already beat him?, it's Margarito's team that should make serious offers. Williams already beat him and doesn't even need him, if Margarito wants it he should go after it and judging by his past decisions the man doesn't avenge losses and doesn't even attempt to.

 

Exactly!!!...and is it me, or was AM 1 round away from stopping Williams? If the fight again, mark my words...Margarito will start putting the pressure on early and stop Williams.:good

 

I think the point he's trying to make is that it's stupid for Williams to claim he's ducked and avoided by Margarito when Margo wanted an immediate rematch and never got one.

Now Williams is crowing that Margarito is ducking him which is kind of a dick move.

 

And now Margo is postponing a rematch after his big win? Whats the ****ing difference. Both of them have money on their minds, i don't see why Margo is suddenly invincible to any hate. I swear when Margo's name is mentioned some of you solid posters go down stairs and put on your ****** hats.

 

it all boils down to money. even though PW already beat Margo, he is still not a household name. PW just doesn't command good $$$. he is a high risk low reward opponent. but if Margo cannot get any big name opponent (i.e. PBF, DLH), he might be forced to fight PW if that is the best fight (money wise) available.

 

My guess is this is just Arum and Margo's way of returning the favor. Is it stupid? Absolutely. It's robbing boxing fans of a good fight that would bring some more clearance to the WW division.

But I don't make the calls...and it's a little foolish for Williams to be all "THEY NEVER WANTED NONE OF THIS" when Margarito wanted a rematch almost immediately after the first one.

 

I agree I'll call him Margaret from now on.
I just don't get why he wouldn't want to avenge his loss to Williams. Williams wants all comers but no one will fight him. Not Quintana, not Mosley not Zab not Cotto not Margo not Cintron not Berto he's the uncrowned king of 147 as far as I'm concerned.

 

Team Williams wanted no part of Margarito as sportsmen and as gentleman in a rematch. Now that Margarito is hot property Team Williams is trying to swoop in like vultures, strictly for limelight.

The only reason Team Williams isn't getting a shot at Margarito now is because when they had negotiating power they tried to fold and walk away from the table, because they had a few chips. Why would Margarito do business with someone who spit in his face?
