I don't care much for either of them i just think your argument that because Williams did it and he is a tool of the devil (for avoiding a fight with little reward), and now Margo is avoiding a fight with Williams (a big reward) but he is the second coming of christ, is completely stupid.
You've disregarded evey point of I've made. It's no wonder we've gotten nowhere. Fine, you disagree, that's your right.
I think the 12th round sealed the deal for me, the ever polite Paul Williams stated regarding his dethroning of Tijuana, MXs Antonio Margarito. The visually happy but reserved Williams proceeded to thank God, his promoter, his trainers and his management team as the catalysts for his victory over the Tijuana Tornado. When asked if he was nervous regarding the decision because of the closeness of some of the rounds and that fact that the fact was held in Margaritos adopted home town, Williams said I wasnt nervous at about the decision; I think it was a fair decision and I beat him in his hometown which means a lot. Even though we both predicted knockouts, I knew it was going to be tough with the condition that we both brought. Yes sir, I am ready for anything my team has in mind, I am ready for whatever, Im just the fighter, Williams answered when a rematch against Margarito was mentioned. Before the new WBO welterweight champion took the podium his promoter Dan Goossen stated I dont think of any of the guys that have those other 147 lbs. belts are going to be excited to fight Paul Williams regarding the upcoming plans for the flagship of his stable. We want the biggest fight out there. We would like to step into the shoes of Margarito and go against Cotto. We want the biggest fights.
You have essentially said: because Paul Williams avoided a rematch, he is an arsehole, and as a result Margarito is allowed to avoid a rematch, without looking like an arsehole. But you have completely disregarded the context of both guys doing it. Paul Williams did it in a time when there was minimal reward for him. Where as Margo is avoiding it even though there is definitely a substantial reward (to redeem himself, and obviously financially). Thats the short and long of it.
Team Williams of course. Team Margarito have been well-known for spitting bull**** for a LONG time now and the way they're refusing a possible rematch against a guy that already beat them using a really weak and pathetic excuse explains their actions. Margarito should be lucky that a man that beat him is going after him, other fighters would just turn their backs on that **** and go after other options which he can go for as proven tonight with his move to Middleweight.
Nah, you're totally disregarding human behavior, the laws of interaction, and common sense. There is no "they're both guilty," let's not go back down this road. People have their tolerances, don't be ****ing ridiculous. First offense means a helluva lot. You got smashed after the first post, it's not wonder you're still blathering on..
Team Williams didn't disregard the version of events given by Team Margarito did they? They just disputed how the situation should be interpreted, right?
I'll agree to disagree. I don't care much for basic human interactions in a selfish sport like boxing. Especially a highly probable situations like Williams, where he avoided a rematch that showed minimal reward for him. I don't see this as some kind of boxing travesty.
Funny how the Margo jockriders are all over PBF's ass - PBF who retired after Marg had a big LOSS - but they want to give margaret a pass on fighting the guy who just beat his ass while AT THE SAME TIME they want to hype Margo as an unstoppable boxing machine. Something doesn't compute.
Sounds like it and from the way it looks it's team Margarito starting all the talks after his fight with Cotto, even after his fight with Williams there was a lot of bull**** talk from team Margarito. Williams' team responded back leaving talks behind, they sent an offer right away with a career high payday to boot. Margarito's response was all talk yet again and no action. That's what makes Williams' team more credible in this case.
