Hughie is due to fight 6 days before AJ and has no opponent why not a AJ Fury fight to add some spice .
I doubt Hearn will see it that way. He chose Miller of Joshua's US debut for a reason, he wanted a US opponent, Joshua could crush in brutal fashion. Hughie will just run around flicking jabs trying doing his best not to get KO'ed. Joshua will win easily but he might not get that highlight reel KO Hearn wants to be shared all over the internet and media afterwards.
Think about the long term tho gets Tyson Fury off his arse to come too it and makes a huge statement , also the New Yorkers are familiar with the Furies . Another note is Hughie is pretty close to getting a mandatory . Hughie has never been KO'd either .
It won't be Hughie but I don't disagree with some of what you're saying. Would also be decent enough practice style wise for when AJ and Tyson eventually step into the ring together.
Hughie has just been totally outclassed by Pulev and was also beaten by Parker in what was the most boring fight I've ever seen. No chance this happens and Hughie doesnt deserve the shot.

Exactly this. They want an action fight against a US competitor, and Hughie delivers none of those two things. It might actually have a reverse effect if Hughie pulls another stinker out of his butt, and that's the last thing Joshua/Hearn/Dazzun wants. And he comes of a clear loss, so there's that too.
There is no proper US opponent, even Miller was borderline. They will have to bring the show to the UK IMO.
Not a chance in hell they would risk fighting a handsome slickster like Hughie Lewis Fury. Hughie would box rings around Joshua. And you really think Hearn would be open to the prospect of being torn apart at a press conference by Big Peter Fury? Come on now, I'm sure Edward values his testicles and wishes to keep them in place.
Exactly why I think the fight should happen . AJ would serve the Fury family it's first slice of humble pie , plus good build-up for Tyson Fury when he is not being a part-timer .
I could see Peter boarding up his house now telling Hughie get in the basement and don't come up till it's clear if he sees this thread in a panicky voice as sweat flies of his brow....
