How does this fight go Vito stood up to the Philly middleweights and Hagler vs the Graziano power....both were small middleweights who wins?
Tough call. Rocky gets undersold alot. He was as tough as they came although maybe not as durable. Problem with Rocky was he didn't want to train. Vito was as tough as they got ..superbly conditioned just no power and that may be his undoing against Rocky. One of those 50/50 for me where styles make the fight. If Rocky can't hurt him then he gets run over but...if Vito respects the rt hand then Rocky has a chance to take a tight decision.
Good tough fight. I see a trilogy with these guys because it would be contested and entertaining. Would go with Vito to take 2 out of 3. Vito would get inside and his conditioning was really something---especially when you factor in they'd be such physical fights. Sure would have liked to have seen a guy like Roldan or a Nunn or a Benn with that degree of conditioning. Winner gets Fullmer or Tiger for another 3 bout series.
Vito and Rockengage in a war. Both tough guys and hard as nails.Vito gets cut badly but roars back to stop Graz in 8.A rematch would eagerly anticipated.
Guys Vito was a highly skilled, crafty counter puncher with outstanding stamina and a great chin. Rocky was a colorful street fighter with a big right hand , iffy stamina, a lot of heart and and not that much else. I see Vito punching him silly and winning a lopsided decision.
Vito could cut but I never saw him hurt. Anyone that could stand up to Hagler, Briscoe and Cyclone Hart has one serious set of whiskers. I go with Vito over Rock.
