Genuinely awe inspiring. Once in every so often, you see a fighter come along who is a freak of nature... usually in one particular area: RJJ - blinding speed Foreman - frightening power Duran - intensity There are more examples, but I have never seen anyone combine so many things as a young Tyson. I look back on Tyson as a tainted genius... what could have been. You take Zab Judah, and look at his undoubted potential as a young fighter, and look how he never fulfilled that potential, mainly due to outside influences, lack of dedication and focus etc. Then look at Tyson, and how much potential he had - people fail to realise he was at his peak before he beat Berbick - he had so much more to give, but never delivered it following Cus' death. Had Cus been with him for another 15 years, I believe we would be talking about the greatest fighter to ever live.
I imagen that most of his training consisted in defense, sliping and countering, and sliping punches so that you slip to an angle that has you set up for a counter. The punching power and speed was just raw and needed polishing.
