I was thinking of switching to their gloves and headgear but was wondering if anyone here has used thier products and can tell me how good they are.Thanks.
My kid uses their gloves to spar, only when he is sparring a guy lighter than him though seriously they are like Pillows, the head gear is nice, However you will not be able to use either in a amature match, all equiptment has to be USA approved or you will not be allowed to box. if you want the truth, I think the gloves suck balls, the sparring gloves, they are like huge spunges seriously and sometimes lets be honest in the heat of sparring you need to shoot something to keep the man off of you from time to time, those gloves will make him feel like you cant hit, seriously.
The headgear is probably the best I mean you can see better and that makes a big difference when you spar especially when you have a hooker in there with you.
oh yeah..i'll choose ringside gloves over rival gloves anyday...i use my rivals when i'm sparring lesser opposition.... it's almost impossible to land clean....
i have rival right now. good glove but i only use it for bag work. my next gloves will be the ringside platinum. these are the best that I have ever used.
I've got a pair of Rival Ultra Bag Gloves that I've started using for bag work (14oz) for about half a dozen workouts. Previously I used Everlast 16oz (padding sucked) and Ringside Ultra Bag Gloves 14oz (protection was good, but fit way too large). I like the Rivals because they fit better than the Ringside and have equal protection. Rivals have mesh on the inside and cushioning up beyond the back of the wrist. Never tried Rival headgear. The headgear I'm looking at buying soon is this: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USJrK-R8BDQ[/ame]
