I'm going to this, hopefully Carl will do it but I doubt it.

Like you, don't see a lot to trouble Bute. He really does have to hope he can just maraud forward and put enough pressure on Bute to wear him down. He'll be relying on that and Bute being phased by the atmosphere etc.

For skill, movement, handspeed, power, its a bit of a mismatch. Froch needs all the intangibles and a little bit of macho to get through this one.

P.S Froch is way too rudimentary , slow and open for Bute's counter power shots!

    Yeah spot on.

He has to use the home advantage and 'bully' Bute by getting into a close up war. If he boxes he will be soundly outboxed. His wild lunging powershots will be slipped and countered to bad effect. Froch could really take some shots if he is sloppy. People don't realise how soundly Bute throws a punch, he's super accurate and snaps well. His uppercut is a thing of Butey (see what I did there).

War Froch!!! You always have to back a warrior, always, we may not get another like him for a while!!!

No doubt it will be Bute's toughest fight. It's difficult for froch to win as bute is quite slick, not on the level of ward but enough for froch not able to catch him clean. Froch have to take this to a war for him to win, bute will be too smart to get involve in a war and will stay out and use his boxing skills. As it's on home turf, if bute seems to be winning and as being the champion, i think it will be a draw. That is where I got my money on @ 25/1.

No chance, Bute will utterly out class him in every way possible.

froch was not hurt, watch the knockdown, he wasnt hurt at all he just didnt see the punch coming thats it, he took the 8 and looked remarkably composed for someone whod been knocked down for the first time in their career, and if you spell jermain like that, i dont even know why im wasting the time replying to your post

I think Froch will win by a couple of rounds.

It's a step up for Bute and I think Carl will out fight him in a classic.

Im not sure, I think Carl has to perform at his best if he is to have any chance and we haven't seen that for quite some time, we don't know how Bute will perform himself away from home and against clearly his toughest opponent to date.
There are so many different factors in this fight, if you just look at talent and skill then you have to go with Bute, Its a good thing not all fights are won on that alone, I think Froch still has enough in the tank to make this close.
Im going with Froch on a debatable split desicion win or it being a draw.

im trying to see what bute has to beat froch,he is very ordinary, nothing special,a pretty basic boxer, possible the worst boxer froch has faced in 3 years.

a lot of people are giving froch no chance, can't actually believe it

Im a big fan of Froch and Bute, but I can only see one winner. Bute. I will be at the fight and am looking forward to it, though expect it to be a Bute masterclass.
I think Froch will be very outclassed losing a very clear decision. I think Bute will land combinations and be out of the way before Froch has a chance to catch him back.

People claim Bute hasnt done as much as Froch, which I fail to see. Froch hasnt beaten a SMW champ. I admit Froch has gone on the road and done well away, which deserves credit, but look at who they fought and when

Froch beat Pascal who wasnt a good SMW
Froch beat Taylor who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights and got KOd in his next fight by a fighter who cant compete with top SMWs
Froch beat Dirrell by a SD that many dispute and Dirrells best win was Oganov
Froch lost to an unwell Kessler coming off a loss
Froch beat Abraham coming off a loss
Froch beat G Johnson by MD, who was only a SMW journeyman and has lost more at SMW than won. he was 0-4 in his last 4 world title attempts
Froch lost to Ward who seems to slow as fights go on.
Magee is the most accomplished prime SMW Froch has beaten.

Bute beat Berrio who was coming off a win over Steiglitz and was IBF SMW champ
Bute beat Bika who gave Ward a tough fight
Bute beat Andrade when he was #3 SMW and #5 SMW which are higher rated wins than anything Froch has achieved. I think Bute should have a loss in one of those Andrade fights.
Bute has also beaten Magee and Johnson.

Now I made that sound a bit bias to show a point of view, but there is little between them when you remove the fact that Froch has travelled like he has

I didn't realise your first point BUT he has beaten one undisputed MW champ, one MW champ, two LHW champs, even Magee is an interim champ :dead.

Look how short your Bute paragraph is.

Froch stopped Magee sooner than Bute, before he fought Bute. Andrade knocked Bute out. Ward had Bika under control.

Thing is we know Froch's level - do we know Bute's? Well Andrade ****ed him up...
