Odd for win Saglam 8/1 .

Solis didn't look good against Leif Larsen, I think he's done and he is also too fat to be a real contender.

Saglam won 29 of his 31 fights, with 26 KO's (against a bunch of bums). Lost on points vs Wallisch, and suffered a shoulder injury against Charr, a fight that he was winning (after 2 rounds).

Any chance for him to pull the upset tonight? Maybe I place a bet on Saglam. Solis isn't the fighter he once was...

    Could be worth a shot.

"Cuban heavyweight contender Odlanier Solis weighed in at 255.5 lbs. for the defense of his IBF intercontinental champion title against hard-hitting Turk Yakup Saglam (227 lbs.) tomorrow (Saturday, July 27th) in Cuxhaven, Germany. "

No not worth it. Charr is a slow starter Saglam retired about when Charr was turning the tide. Saglam is basically a journeyman with a good record. Saglam vs Wallisch was possibly the slowest fight I ever saw. Yakup will not be able to tire Solis out.

  5. Saglam was way better than Charr, won those rounds before. Unfortunately his shoulder was injured during the fight. Saglam could have a chance against Solis.

I wouldn't take it at those odds. My book is at +1150 or 23/2 for Saglam

believe it or not that's a relatively low weight for Solis. But then again Solis is probably well past his best so it might be worth the risk.

Charr showed up bloated and out of shape with nagging injuries when he fought Saglam. Solis will likely win a wide UD or stop Saglam late though. Saglam isn't good enough to capitalize on how bad Solis is these days.
