He clearly trained hard for the fight but I suspect that during the fight he got a shock in the sense that Usyk turned out to be way better than he initially thought.

I thought Fury would be super aggressive in the first half of the fight given Usyks slow starts but he allowed Usyk to dictate the pace and that was a mistake given Usyks lifetime history of volume punching, activity in the second half of the fight

Not really, all fury had was his uppercut and body shots, but he didn't pull them out really til round 3-4, then after 3 odd rounds usyk had adapted and changed his plan/ figured the extremely long range fury could land them from, and his biggest weapons were gone

No chance. He fought the best fight I've ever seen him fight, he just came up short against an ATG.

No, he didn't underestimate him even a bit. As for Fury being tentative in the first 3 rounds, I think it was caused by him being rocked by Usyk's left hand in round 1. Usyk's power definitely didn't test as a middleweight power for him

No. On the contrary, he has clearly been rattled by Usyk since the night of "Usyk can suck my balls" or whatever it was.

No. He was scared of Fury, and he was nervous asf, and this was obviously from the whole get going with the ducking ang aging Usyk out.
And he tried to act like a clown, to hide his fear.

no, he knew what he was up against. but he mistook usyks strategy to make him work while catching shots on the arms as a sign that usyk didnt have as much as advertised. then usyk shifted gears and fury couldnt keep up. took the confidence out of him. he was hunted down by the rabbit.

Fury was in the best shape of his life for this fight, Usyk made him work early in the fight, even though he dropped more rounds then what he was probably hoping but in the end Fury couldn't keep up and Usyk ran away with it.

yeah 100%, he thought he had worked Usyk out midway through the fight. Usyk stepped on the gas and that was that. Fury probably only won 3 maybe 4 rounds after watching it again. Not nearly as close as I thought first time round, I was probably influenced by the biased commentary tbh.

    I had Fury up 5-1 after 6.

I honestly think that Usyk was not quite as good as he thought and he was beating him too easily. He failed to perceive the threat, allowing his focus and intensity to drop momentarily before he got caught with a history changing punch.

No but I do think that Usyk conserved his energy better than Fury did. Fury wasted a lot of energy in the ring walk. Whereas Usyk was very workmanlike, giving away some rounds but having more in the tank late when he needed it.

    He certainly underestimated his power...
