Any chance GG devastates Canelo like Marquez did to Pac?

Because Freddie doesn't know what was in the drinks means it was PEDs?

The fight will be at 168 lbs for all 4 of Canelo's belts. So fight night GGG may way about 180lbs and Canelo might be the same. Would you rather be hit by a 170 lb GGG or a 180 lb GGG? GGG has a decent chance of pulling off the upset. Canelo ain't been hit that hard for years, and he has never been hit by a 180lb GGG.

Never know, he might catch Canelo with a counter similar to the one he caught Murata with.

I dont think so, Golovkin will be ready for war. I see Canelo getting nailed on many accasions. Canelo might get stopped, it's highly possible.

It's hard to tell. I had JMM wining the first 3 on points although there was a lot of close rounds out of the 36 but in the 4th fight JMM said he wasnt looking for points due to not wanting to leave it in the judges hands so he said beforehand he was looking for a KO and not interested in outpointing him again and thats exactly what he did. JMM is a very gifted counter puncher with great timing. Canelo v GGG could be similar depending on how Canelo fairs coming back down in weight. History is littered with great fighters who moved up too far and never looked the same after moving back down so time will tell. Canelo was blowing with his mouth open in the latter part of the 2nd round with Bivol and looked knackered by the time the 4th round started (he had a good 3rd iirc but that was it the whole fight imo)

Canelo has a solid ped chin. No one really cracks like GGG but he will need to land some very clean shots to knock him out.

Yeah, I don't look much into it, Canelo was like 18 at the time.

I doubt to do what Marquez did you need an opponent rushing in and speed of hand to land the bomb.
Canelos won't rush in like Manny and GGG doesn't have the hand speed. He's so slow now that Canelos is going to see all the shots coming unless GGG can throw in 4s and 5s and I don't think he has the stamina or speed for that.

Marquez had hurt Pac in every previous fight, Golovkin never really showed that he could really, really hurt Canelo, he stung him once. I'd say that Golovkin "devastating" Canelo probably doesn't happen

Detonating on Canelo's bull neck and granite ginger noggin? I very much doubt it.

A liver / breaking ribs punch? Always possible.

It will be interesting to see how both fighters go about their business in this:-

    • Will Canelo back away from his 'only power shots' approach of recent fights and use his jab / skills more?
    • Will GGG work that body which he almost entirely neglected in the 1st 2 fights
    • Will either fighter go for the kill, or play the long game?
It's still an intriguing matchup, and although GGG has obviously lost a step, he is still a damn hard night's work, and if he knows it's his last huzzah, if he cahnnels everything into one last herculean effort that could be tough for Canelo on the back of a mentally sapping loss.

What GGG can pick up from the Bivol fight is a few things:-
    • If Canelo can't set his feet properly and doesn't get his shots off then he gets frustrated
    • The combination of throwing loaded power shots and Bivol working some great sneak body shots really sapped Canelo's tank and he was looking for breathers by the mid rounds
    • Bivol chose his moments to open up with combinations almost perfectly
As to whether a 40 year old GGG with less reach, height and - especially - slower feet than Bivol can execute on any of that remains to be seen.
