I don't think there is any comparable duck in the entire history of boxing. Do you recall anybody who actually called for a fight being that obtrusive and when the possibility of the fight appeared the loud perosn rejected it?

Leonard was two weightclasses below Hagler when both were in their prime. Hagler wanted and needed the fight much more than Leonard. haye atlked about taking on the Klitschkos from the beginning.

Leonard had a detached retina shorten his career.

Leonard eventually DID fight Hagler, sure, many say Hagler was past it, but Leonard had one mediocre fight in five years, no reason to assume he was in his prime.

Can't be compared with Bowe - Lewis, or Haye - Klitschko. If Haye does fight a Klitscko, it will chance everything of course.

The only comparable duck job without a shred of a doubt was Pongsaklek Wonjongkam refusing a rematch against Koki Kameda after winning a robbery decision.

I think he's going to fight them. The people over at The 0 blog have been hyping the Klitschko brothers and how great they are, how they should finally get their due etc. which is the exact opposite of their usual routine of how boring they are, the dead HW division...

hopkins ducking calzaghe in 2001. hopkins agreed a deal of $3m for calzaghe to go to the states and fight him only to double his outrageous demands to $6m after a prior agreement, pricing himself out of the fight.

hopkins then went on to fight a sanatation worker in in his next fight dor $500'000. ***gott.

This may shock you, but Hagler was two divisions above Ray - why was Hagler chasing a fight with a much smaller man? It's not like he was Ray's mandatory. Fact was, Hagler wanted the biggest money out there and that was Ray. That's the only reason he pushed so hard for it. You can't duck someone you don't have to fight.

Well, Haye had his reasons. Injury and what amounted to a slave contract (three fights with Haye's money only coming from Setanta, who went bust and would have meant he was fighting for free) put paid to it. If Wlad and Vitali were SO keen to fight Haye, why not do it on even footing. Haye agreed to them having the lion's share of the purse both times, but the Klits wanted to lock him into a deeply unfair agreement.

That's not ducking, that's just good business sense.

We have some straight up bitches on this forum...I never understood the logic in concerning yourself with supposed "ducking" jobs. You're not at the negotiating table. You have no idea about the full facts...so I'd be nice if you all politely shut the **** up. Cheers.

Since I am entirely not buying the David Haye ducking the Klitschkos thing until I hear an offer that the Klitschkos are peddling, since they have been called Low Ballers before.

But the biggest duck in the history of the Sport was Riddick Bowe dumpstering his WBC belt in order to avoid a mandatory showdown with Lennox Lewis.

The Klitschkos were exposed on the ropes boxing show last night by Chris Byrd for their slimey lowballing tactics, forced rematches and no tune ups for you while they got one.
