    If you say so...
Plenty of websites report £30m, but sure I can go with your figure.

But let's also consider Klitschko was paid 45% compared to Whyte's 20%

    So let's see...which is a bigger outlay, 45% of 20m or 20%(effectively 28%) of 31m?

So no, I'm not buying what you are selling.

Neither card was good, but this one is truly awful. I don't know why you are excusing it quite frankly

    :applaudit:

I wasn't expecting much but this is dire.

I know they overpaid on the purse, but they will have clawed plenty back thanks to that 80/20 split. I've had enough of watching Adeleye or Fury being matched with walking punchbags,

Where are these many websites that report the purse split was 30mil then?

The purse split was £20 million, that's a fact, it's not something you can dispute

So your example is irrelevant because you're comparing cards with an £11million pound spending difference

God knows what your math equation is meant to prove? It's irrelevant who is getting what split of the purse, the fact is the purse for Hearns main event was £11,000,000 less. So obviously he should have been able to put on the best undercard of all time. But he put a **** one on too. That's far worse than what Frank has done

Mate, as I said before even if we use your £20m figure, it doesn't add up.

Based off that, Klitschko was still paid £9~10m, whereas Whyte is getting around £8m if he wins from Warren.

So repeatedly saying something is irrelevant doesn't mean much to me.

As for where I got £30m from:
    BBC
    Manchester evening news/Daily Star/Daily mail
    Fox Sport
    Etc.
    Etc.

So, how about you give it a rest defending this sh1t card, alright?

    Link to a credible source......

I still have no idea why you're comparing the purse splits? They are irrelevant to the fact of how much the fights cost to put on.

Fury got less than 20% of total purse for Klitschko and Wilder 1 fights.

See Whyte is unhappy that Babic is not on the bill. So he takes no part in promoting the fight, not even tweeted saying it's on, trying to undermine the promotion through his lawyer. But he is then unhappy his fighter is not on a bill that his rivals team won in a purse bid.

    Is he simple or something.

This was always going to have an inferior undercard in fairness given the amount of money spent on the main event.

Poor guy must be pissed at Hearn for losing the purse bid, on top of him never wanting to fight Fury in the first place hoping that he'd fight an inferior opponent for a vacant title, so now he's looking at every excuse possible to not fight.

Hope Frank Warren has someone on standby.

The fact is Fury isn’t getting the 80% of what Warren bid. He’s still getting a healthy chunk of change but it common with all promoters to do this when they have the fighter that is getting 80%.

The undercard is woeful, as is the norm for big fights now.

That clown wouldn’t add anything to the card either.

Why overpay so much for the main event?

Seems to me they were more determined to just win the purse bid rather than actually trying to win the purse bids to put on an event which financially made sense.

If 1.5 mil buys is needed then they really messed up here and it's unthinkable that fight this big doesn't make money.

With 94000 fans there and American TV money they won't need 1.5m buys to break even. I think they will make substantial profit on event.

Exactly the undercard won't cost much and they fighters will be sold on fact the exposure they will get by being on bill etc.

Even though he's a walking contradiction he is well liked in the uk fury and it will sell well imo. The American side of it prob be the profit.

Even with whyte being a complete **** he won't pull out be career suicide

I hope it sells well but Saturday afternoon is a odd time for north American sports. You maybe get baseball and college sports shown at those times.
