The plus side of no undercard is the main event will be at six and Frank can be tucked up in bed by nine.

Where would you expect to see coverage or build up of the fight? Sky sports? DAZN? Channel 4?

If there’s no peep from anyone in fight week across social media/YouTube then yeah that’s odd but TV coverage on other channels just isn’t going to happen.

What is a little concerning though, is that this fight has had little to no coverage outside of the the Anglosphere. It took me well over an hour to find where it was being broadcast in Japan (where I'm based).

Added it to the Wikipedia page to save others the hassle.

Do Fury or Whyte have any recognition in Japan? If there was a massive (in every sense) sumo match taking place in Japan this weekend I wouldn’t have a scooby who it would be. Are whyte and fury similar entities over there?

I've been saying it for a couple weeks now. Imagine a supposedly sold out fight at Wembley and it has 0 undercard after almost no promotion. What, are they just gonna have a couple rock bands play before the fight? Who in their right minds would buy a PPV with literally no undercard? I'll be shocked if Fury doesn't get another mysterious injury or fake covid again to push this back.

Possibly Fury does, as his fights against Wilder did make the sports pages. Highly unlikely anyone would know who Whyte is outside of people who follow the heavyweight division. Joshua obviously has the most out of the current heavyweights, but still the average person would have no clue except maybe recognizing him from some sports shop displays. There is some traction for Usyk as well, but that comes hand in hand with the Ukraine conflict (as there have been a couple of articles on the KIitschkos of late).

Basically the fighters that have public recognition are the top Japanese ones: Murata, Ioka, Inoue, etc. They might make TV appearances and advertise products, stuff like that.

Didn't Warren say last week the undercard was going to be announced by yesterday. What's going on?

Literally anywhere, and everywhere. Platforms pay for other media to advertise upcoming events, as it's then a quid pro quo situation.

This isn't anywhere though, come on mate, one Euro level fighter Vs a TBA? Less than 2 weeks out?! This isn't the norm for a big British PPV show

Pretty pathetic that no undercard announcement has happened yet. It's obviously not up to much. Cacace in a British title defence likely to be the chief support.

As far as ramping up the promotion-2 weeks of Champions League nights were likely always the BT plan for this. Not sure it's enough though.

unbelievable that a PPV show at wembley stadium in front of 90,000 hasn't announced the undercard when it's just over 2 weeks away.

I thought Tommy Fumbles Fury was fighting. But haven't seen any more info. Suspect they haven't found an opponent bad enough.

Agree with those saying the promotion for this has been terrible.

Maybe John Fury will do some stand-up comedy.

Or a tombola draw to see which charity Fury is donating his purse to.
