Any elite fighter with a less graceful career ending than Roy?

i agree with you on the great fights. jones was just incredibly good but there's not any signature fights to point to. toney and ruiz would be his 2 biggest wins but he made those fights look easy. post heavyweight, jones lost to good fighters, not great, but not on the big stage. the ruiz fight was his biggest, he made it look easy.

I agree. I am not sure how great Roy will be looked at in 20 years. fighters with great fights usually are remembered better and go up the ranking better than guys who didn't have those signatures.

RJJ is the saddest I've ever seen.

Tyson was bad but Roy is just horrible

I just can't imagine anyone clearing him to fight again....after what happened in that ring. He was doubled over lifeless and took about 3 or 4 nasty shots full force unprotected and they took a good amount of time to wake him.....no way he should be cleared to fight again!

Marciano knocking Joe Louis through the ropes was pretty horrible too.

Tyson bowed against a lower level of opposition but still retained some semblance of punch resistance, as for Roy, well everytime he steps into the ring I fear for the guy's life...... Roy, please hang them up!!!
