Any fight in boxing now that would come close to the Fury-Usyk I hype?

In terms of pure hype, Canelo-Benavidez might be a close runner up if it ever happens. Even casuals in my family, friend group, and work want the fight. Outside of boxing fans I know, I don’t recall anyone really talking about Usyk-Fury 1.

    Globally no. But regionally: potentially
    In North America, Canelo-Benavidez, maybe Tank-Ryan 2 or Tank-Shakur
In Europe, Fury vs AJ, only if AJ looks good in a tune-up

Fury-Usyk 1 was a big fight but it didn't feel like a huge mega fight. Fury-Wilder 2 was bigger, and on a personal level I was more hyped for Fury-Wilder 1 than Fury-Usyk 1.

AJ vs Fury would draws and hype but no nothing outside of Bivol vs Arthur B. Canelo vs Mexican Monster , and Inonue vs Tank , and Inonue vs Bam vs Inonue.

Through a non casuals eyes I’ve hyped the rematch right up in my own mind - just as compelling if not more so than fight 1 given the dynamic we’ve already seen.

I’m not sure though if certain rematches more often than not live up to the rarefied levels of the first fight - statistically speaking. Anyway, I hope this one does.

Can’t really see any prospective/potential match living up to the hype of Usyk-Fury 1 in respect of the perception of the general, more casual audience.

Personally, I’d like to see Fury-Joshua finally go down, though past its optimal use by date.

Sidebar: Still hard to believe that Marv passed away as he did.

He was one guy that I thought would live well into old age. Brilliantly conditioned in his prime.

There is very little hype outside the hardcore boxing community

Usyk can't draw flies and Fury losing his last fight, plus his horrible showing vs Ngannou has likely lost some interest

Aj v Fury is 1000x bigger than this, even now, because usyk is a nobody. Skilled yes, but popular? No
