Floyd fight GGG at 154 or 160?

I'm not a Floyd fan myself but I I'd very much like to see the fight. In no way, shape or form do I think Floyd has to fight him to prove something or "needs" it for his legacy. So please no freak outs about me calling for the fight because that's absolutely not what I'm doing. As a boxing fan I'd just be very excited if the fight were made and I'm interested if there are any Floyd fans out here who feel the same way.

I'd like to see Floyd vs Geale at 154.

  4. 152-153 rehydration clause for no more than 157. Then people will be happy when Floyds pot shots and evades him all night until GGG collapses from exhaustion.

I'm not sure Golovkin can make 154 and not be completely drained to sh!t, but even if he could it would still be used as an excuse should Mayweather beat him at the weight. A fight at 160 would be extremely dangerous for Mayweather and I wouldn't like to see him get KOd simply because his opponent is just so much bigger than him. If they were the same size I see Mayweather outboxing him for 12, but he doesn't even belong at 154 much less 160.

This whole thing is in a hypothetical vacuum.

So let's just assume GGG could make 154 without being drained. Forget about the excuses and people who blindly hate Floyd. It doesn't matter what he does or who he fights. Those people won't be changing their opinions. This is just about YOU. Would you like to see the fight? Would you be excited? I'd be f*cking giddy!

Yes, assuming he can make the weight without having to come in the ring with a ****ing IV in his arm like De La Hoya did against Pacquiao, I'd love to see this fight. Golovkin knows how to cut off the ring and has real one punch KO power so I think he'd be a real test for Mayweather, which I can't say for anyone else below 160 with the possible exception of Lara.

Same question as, would we want to see Klitschko fight Drodz or Lebedev.

Floyd is a 147 pounder and hasn't fought at 154 in a good 2 years. He probably won't do it again. He should stay at 147, that's where he belongs.

I'd rather see GGG vs Ward at a c/w. The size and strength gap favors GGG too much. Floyd is a small welter. If Floyd was Cotto's size it would be more reasonable.

I want this fight but like GGG more than Floyd. However, I am a fan of Floyd('s boxing). If Floyd was my favourite, I'd still want this fight.

    No lower than 154.

Except it isn't because they're so far apart in weight that there's no way they could realistically meet in the middle. Also Floyd is far better than the latter two.

They can meet at 210 :nod:yep

No one wants to see Floyd someone who doesn't really deserve it.

    He's a 147 pounder. That's it.

If it gets made, then whatever. But it would just be any other fight. I'd much rather see Garcia, Khan, Thurman, Brook

Floyd is NOT a small welter. I do not understand where this ridiculous statement comes from.

Pac is a small welter. Marquez is a small welter. Not Floyd.
