Who cares. FOTY was given to Donaire who beat opponents he was suposed to beat and then when he faced someone with really good skill, he layed an egg. It's not an actual measure of quality.

Marquez vs. Pac was last year.

I think it's between Matthysse and Floyd (assuming they both win) but I lean more towards Matthysse.

    Only if Povetkin wins.

Or if Canelo somehow beats Floyd. If Floyd wins? Nah...

If Wlad & Floyd both win, and Matthysse KOs Garcia, then it's Lucas for sure..

Oh, and I think Nacho is a shoe-in for trainer of the year. :good

    Floyd,when he wins.
    2 JMM if he wins
3 Winner of Garcia vs Matthysse
Not in any certain order, hard to say what is most impressive, probably would come down to how each fighter looks winning?

Lucas if he wins. Canelo if he wins and Lucas loses. GGG if both lose and he steamrolls Stevens. I would toss a mild vote to Adonis if he destroys Cloud. All in all it is up in the air at this point, with so many big fights looming. If Kovalev fights a big name before the end of the year and rolls him then he has a shot.

Whoever said Floyd is absolutely delusional.

Yall can stop the bull**** cause everybody knows that when Floyd beats Canelo, fighter of the year is a lock. That's the highest profile fight of the year, it stands to reason. Now, fight of the year is a different thing altogether.

Like you, I misread the thread title. Prov vs Bradley is also my fight of the year so far. Fighter of the year, I pick Adonis Stevenson, so far his year he has avenged his only loss with a KO win and beaten the top LHW in emphatic fashion. Lots of ifs and buts but Garcia, Matthysse, Canelo all have potential to be fighter of the year.

Winner of Mayweather/Alvarez will get the nod.
(The winner would have defeated the #1 guy at the time in their division + won on the 14th in consecutive fights)
