Is it possible for Amir Khan to achieve greatness in Boxing with his chin?

Have there been any boxers to achieve greatness that couldn't take a good whack? If so, who and how did they do it?

even the ones that have hid a good chin have had say excellent power or brilliant skills.

    sometimes both.

khan is not a huge puncher.

and his skills are just good rather than exceptional.

stick a fork in this one.

Not exactly 'glass' but Hearns had a shaky chin.

The guy in my avatar. But he made up for it with excellent boxing skills and a right hand from hell.
Khan has good speed but doesn't have great power. And his biggest problem is his defence is very leaky. This will always rear its ugly head when Amir steps up in class.
    Expect some creative matchmaking.

Not to mention Hearns had a much better chin that Khan.
He tooks some bombs off Hagler and Leonard before succumbing to them.

He obviously wasn't granite as we know, but take into account he started at Welterweight and his chin is levels above Khan.

Nigel Benn was not glass by any means - but he had a shaky chin.

Julian Jackson had a shaky chin - natures equaliser to his explosive power.

Was Bruno chinny = "Nah Frank aint chinny - you know the problem with Frank is he holds a shot to well" - Nigel Benn.

Lennox Lewis was seen as chinny - but thats not true - I'd put him in the same class as Benn - it bit shaky at times.

Oliver McCall - total glass jaw - worse than Khans - :rofl - that was a joke by the way.

Wlad Klitshko - his chin is obvioulsy dodgy as **** - and he is the NO 1 Heavyweight in the world - he has been destroyed in 2 rounds before by a dangerous but very average heavyweight in Corrie Saunders.

Don Curry was a bit fragile - great fighter - but couldnt take it so well - knocked out with one punch by Mike McCallum - and at his peak Curry was probaly the best pound for pound fighter in the World.

    Tim Austin - vunerabale.

Felix Trinidad - shaky chin - at peak best welterweight in the world.

None of those guys did silly dances like Khan and basically none of them had a chin anywhere hear as bad.
the ams KD against Watson was all you needed to see to know it is grade A china.

No great fighter had a chin that weak, even Terry Norris's was as tough as Kevin Fineegan's next to Khan's.

The problem is he doesn't have the defensive or offensive skills to cover up his chin.
