I always disliked him for his layn pray preformances then he learned a bit of standup and became not to bad, but tonight's fight was brutal, he simply hit n run as much as he could. It was so bad Maynard stood in front of him letting him hit him just so they could engage and in the 5th round Guida got a warning from the ref for running. It was a close fight and he still could of won but you don't get points for running and that could have been the difference. Maynard was very frustrated and came to fight but found himself in a debacle.
This was actually the first time I have ever wanted to turn the channel on a Guida fight. His war with Huerta is still one on my favorite fights of all time but tonight he was just awful. Btw did anyone see him and Maynard arguing after the fight? ****ing hilarious!
It was a disgraceful performance from Guida. It's one thing having good movement to make it hard for your opponent but who must have some offense yourself to try and win the rounds.
I'm glad the MMA fight world is waking up to this tin can. Guida is pure garbage. Can't stand him and iv never liked his style. He's horrible to watch.
He was fun for the first few rounds of the first fight you saw him in. After that he became an annoying sea sickness inducing ****
He must be some seroius medication to be non stop bouncing like that. Even when they read the score he was still jumping up and down, the refs arm was flailing all over the place, I'm sure Mirgliatta wanted to choke slam him.
Guida is not a smart guy, and performances like last night is what you get when dumb guys try to fight smart.
If a fighter isn't willing to fight during a fight, then that fighter should be cut. I ****ing hate Guida's boring ass. The people that think he is fun to watch are clearly on some strong medication. Because, when he isn't losing, he's generally like watching paint dry. There should start being more warnings when guys run. Same goes for LNP.
Guida was boring. Just running and defending with the odd scoring shot. Maynard was trying to fight, trying to go forward, trying to engage, let him hit but nothing. I fast forwarded bits because nothing was happening.
Terrible style, I respected his stamina and personality. He is a sturdy gate keeper/journeyman but yesterday was a shame
