You went rickyhatton.com and expected objectivity?

 

Basically, there are a lot of spastics out there, and most Hatton fans are included in that category...

to be honest they only sound as stupid as 90% of people that regularly post in general here without any objectivity. it's no different really.

It's often like that when they have a huge fan base.

"Oh De La Hoya is fighting tonight...i bet h'es gonna knock that little chinese (Pacquiao)"

 

Talk out your arse, i lost a lot of respect when hatton dumped graham and went for mayweather, but hatton fans are loyal and spend a lot of money, yes maybe a lot of them are deluded that hatton is up there with the best, but thats for another day.

Ricky Hatton fans should be credited for makin Ricky the most supported fighter, possibly in boxing history ? not slated and mocked because they are mancunians and dont have the best boxing knowledge

 

Hatton has alot of fans who aren't even interested in boxing which explains the lack of knowledge and total blindness.

Ricky was destroyed! He would lose in 10 out of 10 times he fought Pacman.

 

to be fair Hatton did give Manny something to think about in the 2nd round until the KO. Maybe in a rematch he can avoid getting KTFO

 

No..Ricky always gets KO'd by a peak Manny, they aren't on the same level

Obviously on Hattons Website you will get people saying things in his defence.
The site is for his fans, what else would you expect them to say.

I have not looked but I am sure the same type of support would be seen on any fighters fan website. The majority of his website will not be boxing purists but again the same would be true of other fighters sites.

You will however have some members of his site who are knowledgeable followers of the noble art. These people will know he is not the most skillful fighter in the world but will probably be fans because of the person he is not the fighter he is. He is a likeable, witty, charming and down to earth character outside of the ring and he always has time for his supporters.
I can only think of Pac and Oscar who have comparable support both of who have similar personality traits with Hatton.
Being a great fighter does not automatically bring you hoards of fans. If that was the case PBF would have many more followers than Hatton.

So don't blame his fans for loving and supporting the Person Ricky Hatton, he has brought a lot to the fight game and most fighters would love to have a following like his.
