Any inside info on who is next for Pavlik?

My money is on Sebastian Zbik

 

I have none but the Williams fight is one I've changed my mind about. I think Williams' camp is shying away now after the Martinez fight. They know as tall an order as Williams is for anybody, getting heavily rocked by Martinez makes it look likely that he will be seriously hurt by Pavlik. It'd be different if Williams were a pure boxer and not more of a good boxer who throws caution out the window to get inside. Now I think Sturm is more likely, at least I hope that unification bout is the second choice. That would really turn the tide for Kelly.

 

All I've heard is Arum's public statements. #1 Williams. #2 Sturm. I never thought Williams belonged in the ring with Pavlik myself and I think the Williams people believe this now. Not sure the money is there for Sturm so I actually think Bute is more likely though I think it is way too early for this fight to happen. I read a poster that said Bute's people really want Pavlik.

 

Arum has a habit of coming up with the opponent least expected for Kelly, so who knows? Pac man after Mayweather pulls out? Hey, had to work that into the thread somehow.

Sorry to disappoint. Loew is on record as saying they prefer to do less fights per year but make them bigger fights. Most of the work is training so if you are going to train as hard, why not just take the bigger challenges? I know, you will ignore circumstances and probably come back with some smart ass remark........
