Any interest in Cotto-Martinez?

I know Bogotazo disagrees, but I still see this as a really bad match-up for Cotto due both to style and the size differential.

 

Could be interesting but there's a big size difference. Cottos as big as he can be surely ?

 

I'd rather see Canelo vs Martinez, but Cotto vs. Martinez would be nice.

 

Oh I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Martinez win that fight. I just think Cotto has a good chance at beating him given his solid fundamentals, offensive ability, and general skillset.

After seeing Cotto-Mayweather, Cotto-Margarito 2, and Martinez-Macklin, there's more to be said about this match-up. Martinez should be the favorite, but I would have a lot of faith in Cotto.

 

I'd love to see the fight personally.

I'd also like to see Cotto take Kirkland to school

 

I think Cotto would give great fights and beat most, if not all, of the best within the top 5-10 at 154.

 

I think Martinez at 154 is a tough fight, due to Sergio's size, unorthodoxy and sex appeal. But I definitely think its a winnable fight for Miguel.

I agree Bogotazo, I think he has the beating of most 154lbers right now though. I'd love to see him clean out the weight class.

At 154 at least, 160 wouldn't be remotely compatitive anymore I think.

Cotto changed alot of my opinions on him.

The main one being that his defence is alot better than i thought.

Pre the Mayweather fight, i would have gone for a Martinez KO. Now i'm not so sure. Maybe Cotto can put in good body work and wear him down.

 

Would be a war at 154.

 

Like the Mayweather fight Maravilla is expected to win, but Cotto won't make it easy.
