Well im sure its hard for him right now. I mean the man has never been really thouroughly beaten. IMO thats his first loss and im sure in his mind its also his first loss. Also he was dominated so that alawys has an effect on a fighter.
I think he realizes the weight was a big problem. He's not one to make excuses, he's not the crybaby everyone makes him out to be, he just tells it like it is from his perspective, but I don't think his confidence will wither simply from the realization he's not a welterweight. At least I hope.
Rumor has it he's rematching Diaz, I don't know how the WBO and WBA have let him keep his titles since he's still hasn't fought Katsidis (WBO mandatory) or Paulus Moses (WBA mandatory).
i know that marquez rejected khanbut this thing from golden boy only came out last week so im starting to think that maybe he dosnt wanna go straight to junior welterweight a fight against diaz will be a good test to see what he has left in the tank im not sure if it was just me but i wanted marquez to go all out against mayweather and go out on his shield i already knew he wasnt gonna out counterpunch him i would of liked to see him be agressive and just attack.....maybe thats in the back of his head that he didnt do enough
here is his event that he is promoting rumor is that a possible match between him and soto is in the works at 135 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E8b_UmMq_8&feature[/ame]!
Point blank, you did'nt even see the fight. Marquez pushed the fight, but anytime he got near Mayweather, Mayweather used his physical strenghth to nullify Marquez. We already knew that Mayweather was quicker and faster, so it was'nt any suprise he was able to get off first on Marquez. Seeing that Mayweather had every concievable physical advantage, the only way Marquez would have been able to get into the fight was to have Mayweather voluntarily turn aggressive, giving Marquez the opportunity to catch him on the counter. Mayweather was wise not to do that against Marquez, or it would have turned into a fight that may very well have benefited Marquez. Get your weak crap out of here that Marquez did'nt go all out. He did everything within reason to get into the fight, but he was physically overmatched in every department Marquez did everything in his power to try and get Mayweather to exchange, so seeing that Mayweather manuevers faster than JMM, there was'nt really anything Marquez could have done differently. I'll say one thing with coviction, Marquez was far from fighting a survival fight, which many fighters in his predicament would have chosen to do.bbb:bbb:bbb
A fight with Soto at 135 lbs makes alot of sense as Soto is from the same era. At this stage in his career, he does'nt need to be fighting the younger guns in a bigger weight class unless, he's getting paid alot more than he would fighting guys like Diaz and Soto for instance. If a big payday presents itself at 140 lbs, I'm sure Marquez will take it.
http://www.***********.com/?m=show&id=27156 The link wont post.......but there is some nice info on Marquez over at the scene...... Seems like he's still working on trying to lure Hatton later this year. .....a fight for the 140 lbs title is also on his mind and a possibility.
shame it cant happen as katsidis is squaring off against mitchell. marquez would not have much difficulty in defeating katsidis anyways...
i know i understand that but i mean maybe just try a morales vs pacquiao 3 just continuly throw and see what happens i know that isnt in marquez's style but surely you can see what i mean he did hesitate with alot of punches i know he was agressive but hedidnt throw enough he shuda stopped carin about gettin knocked down and just went for it
