    Quick question:

With all the talk about fighting Hatton in overseas, what about Hatton fighting Marquez in Mexico? Is there no draw for a big boxing event there?

How long have you been a boxing fan?

Dont take this the wrong way, but you're just not focusing in at the whole puzzle.

Marquez was neither faster, quicker, or stronger than Mayweather. Height, reach, and everything else was in Mayweather's favor........and yet, you expected JMM to go on an all out Tyson Blitz on Floyd Mayweather?:nut

This is the reason why I mentioned before that you did'tn see the fight.......
......when Marquez got in close, Mayweather used his strenghth to tie up Marquez......
.....when Marquez unleached his shots from beyond close range, Mayweather's faster feet and defensive awareness did'nt allow for an opening.

You forget that along with every concievable physical advantage tilting heavily in Mayweather's favor, alongside that was the dillema of cracking Mayweather's defensive style, which is hard enough to crack even for a fighter that actually holds physical advantages over him.

Asking Marquez to have gotten any more aggressive than he did is tantamount to asking him to step off of a highrise and fall to his death......stupid.

The one thing that I said right after the fight about Marquez was that I was proud as a fan at the way he went about his business and continued to fight to win despite being physically overmatched.

There was'nt one point in the fight where I could see Marquez had settled to fight for the finish line.
There was even a point late in the fight where Mayweather got off a blistering combination, and right as Mayweather was pulling away so as Marquez could not counter it, Marquez signaled to Mayweather with his gloves, "C'mon, bring it."........but of course, this is Mayweather we're talking about, and he's not about to give the paying public their hearts desire.:D

see, you make more sense when discussing Marquez.

I am just amazed that you still do not see any diminisment in Marquez' skillset.

You still have the notion of the Marquez of the Pac fights when clearly he is a tad slower.

Assuming that the JMM of the Pac fights is 100 per cent, how do you see him now? I have asked you this before and you answered almost 100 as well. So realistically speaking, how much did father time took away from JMM?

You're right on all counts. Marquez just had no advantage in this fight, even being the one to have to press the action towards a bigger, faster, more accurate fighter put him at a disadvantage. But I will say one thing in Marquez's favor. I loved when Mayweather knocked him down and thought to finish him, Marquez popped him twice and stopped Mayweather from thinking he could just blow Marquez out. It was round 2 if I remember correctly and that macho bluster from Mayweather got smacked right off of him and made him revert back to defense first.

    Good job Marquez:bbb
