I turn 35 years old in a week and have my Masters Division Passbook. I've checked out mastersboxingdivision.com, but I'm trying to network with as many fighters as I can. Looking for my first fight! Thanks, Eric
Eric, we are few and far between. I was talking to the USBA officer in my state this week and learned that there is only one fighter registered over 34. I would be the second. I do know two other guys at my gym over 40 who workout quite a bit. One of them competes and coaches a local college boxing club. Personally I'm about to begin coaching and getting back in shape myself in hopes of having a couple Masters fights at some point. Oh, and I'm 37.
I do know it is tough to find Masters in NC. That being said, I think I'll still be able to find fights, but I'm sure it will mean traveling. The two most popular events are Gleason's and Ringside. There are some in FL as well if I'm not mistaken. Eric
I'm registered. 37 and fight at 165. Its difficult to get fights, but I'm planning on entering both the title and ringside events this year.
Thanks, I wouldn't mind entering those as well. Thanks for the PM, just can't reply yet until I have 50 posts.
