Very dissapointed. Vic gave in a great performance, but Mijares fought a horrible fight.

I'm still a fan, but he needs to get things together mentally, as he showed a weakness there last night.

I didnt lose any sleep over it, Mijares IMO thought he could do to Vic what Donaire did to him, he fought the wrong fight, he didnt box him. Congrats to Vic no doubt, but soon enough when he does get in there with another highley skilled banger he will be stopped.

I'm pretty much considered Mexican at Eastside because all of my favourite active fighters are Mexican. Antonio Margarito, Barrera, Crisitian Mijares, etc. I've made my feelings well known since last nights shocking result - I was really upset. I think I went numb after the initial knockdown and I couldn't understand why Mijares couldn't counter the winging shots. On replay, Vic does disguise the uppercuts fairly well, but Mijares wasn't himself last night. Congrats to Vic.

A fan of Mijares for life though, regardless.

I was a little sad when Cotto lost. But Mijares showed heart, I think he is reacting well to the loss and he'll be back :good

I was playing poker/watching the fight so I can't give an honest assessment until I see the fight with full attention again.

That sad thing is Mijares has no power so I knew it was over past the 6th.

Pretty much how I felt. Once it was over it was pretty much done in my mind.

puro chorizo here, but i was never a mijares fan. i did think he was gonna box circles around vic, but why he stood in front of him i don't know and instead of moving to his left to avoid vic's left he was moving towards vic's powerpunch all night. i do think montiel is the real deal and is better than mijares so why mijares is p4p and montiel not idk

I had a bad feeling about this one yesterday morning...I was watching fight dvds of both Vic and Mijares. I noticed that Mijares always moves to his right and into a southpaw's money punch. I really thought that Mijares was going to try and correct this tactical error...i was dead wrong!! I also noticed how fast Darchinyan's left hand flies out of the shoot...I was hoping that Mijares wouldn't underestimate Vic's speed...he did!!

Congrats to Darchinyan and his fans!!
