That would make up for all the summer pullouts this year.

Ain't got my hopes up though, that's for sure!

I do like Adam Booth's response to the BBC

Would be great if they got the fight, I mean they use to show early Haye fights - but I do not see it happening.

haye wanted to fight on the beeb and was even willing to take less money then sky were offering him

he didn't even get through the door as the leaching *******s didn't wonna know

Haye now has a deal with sky almost done, might even be comfirmed as soon as thursday, Buncey might even break the news on the radio edition of the boxing hour (thursday 9pm bbc london)

Vitali v Haye on BBC1, Saturday night, for the WBC heavyweight title would be great for British boxing.

Its the sort of fight the sport needs to keep up its profile.

The BBC could have sold this to the general public as England takes on the old enemy as well.
    It's a no-brainer.

not really realistic to be fair. whoever gets that fight is signing up for the Haye stable, can hardly expect the beeb to drop jonathan ross so that they can show cards headlined by ryan rhodes.

i think that Haye was just trying to make sky think there were other interested parties to try and get a bit more cash.
