awhile back, nazim brought up concerns of some gloves where the sewn edges by the thumb were hard and sharp. i wonder if lara were wearing those type of gloves.
Either way I'm concerned with Angulos impersonation of defense, I don't think using your face as a barrier is a good idea at all
He caught onto the Grant gloves which are the type Lara used last night, which had a hard patent leather thumb on Mayweathers gloves and on Canelos gloves when Floyd was fighting Cotto and Canelo was on the undercard. I wonder if thats what it is could very well be and if it is that style of Glove what Ruling does the commission then make? considering these gloves are not with in the rules having that type of leather on the thumb....
You do realize that the choice of gloves is approved by the commission and both camps before the fight right?
This is my take, Angulo didn't slip or even block most of those punches. He was basically getting hit with everything Lara was throwing at him. For the record my brother had just came in the round before, hadn't even watched the fight and notice how swollen Angulos face. The next round it was over, it's funny how people can't seem to acknowledge his face was already busted before the thumb. The guy took many clean punches, but that thumb did him in. I also don't think Lara did anything wrong here, it's boxing and it happens.
You do realize that so were Mayweathers gloves when he was facing Cotto of which it took Richardson to point out the irregularity in them and that is with a better commission
I have about 7 shots of pictures like this the boy uses his head he is well known for that ********tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2z7jukz&s=5
Another guy who thinks his opinion is the end all that be all. Of course buddy, everyone that doesn't share your opinion is corrupt. Angulo was the crowd favorite and Schaefer trashed Lara after the fight and called him boring. But of course, for whatever reason, the judges and the Showtime commentators were paid off. Never mind that Lara was out landing Angulo, and damaged Angulo so badly that Angulo quit, there's no way Lara was winning. Apparently landing the more telling blows is not a way to win a round.
does anybody know what gloves rigo had on when he thumbed donaire in his eye? if they are the same, that brand or type of glove should be disallowed.
Give your inference skills a rest, because they aren't very sharp. Any person can be biased. But again, the scoring in boxing is subjective. When you see the majority of the commentators, judges, and many fans saying that fighter A was winning, then it makes little sense to say that there's no way that fighter A was winning, and only corrupt people could have fighter A ahead. Too many people would have to be in on this corruption for that to make sense.
