Donaire wasn't thumbed. His eye got messed up by a clean counter punch.

Donaire is full of ****. He made a million excuses. He was hit flush with in his right eye with a left hand counter shot. He wasn't even close to bring thumbed.

Looked like the jab by Lara caught Angulo with the thumb.
The Showtime crew paid heavy emphasis on the followup powershot and missed that the thumb was buried in Angulo's eye.

LMAO! No wonder! I'm surprised Perro didn't go out. Even Tyson couldn't handle that. LOL

I seriously hope there's nothing fishy going on there. That would ruin this whole fight. I don't think Lara is the kind to do that though.

Both fighters are great to watch. I hope Angulo recovers well!

Angulo did not want the fight stopped. he was thumbed and expected the ref to do something about it but the pr!ck stopped the fight instead.

I don't think it was clear one way or the other in regards to potential thumbing... Just my opinion. I think there likely was a thumbing, but there also was two straight hard lefts which made solid impact on the same region around his eye, so who really knows.

    I hope they weren't loaded.

I don't really know where the thought of loaded gloves comes from when the suspicion is supposedly in the tactic (accidental or not) of thumbing.

wow, a bunch of delusional people on here. lara landed the same punches over and over again and it caused massive damage. this is what happens when you have no defense. it's all over for angulo now.

thumb in the eye is just an exucse for promoters to use just in case angulo wants to come back and fight. just forget he was getting tagged all night, it was the thumb!

Ignorance rides high among many posters here.
Thumbing an eye won't cause that extense swelling around the orbital area. It would just shut the eye and the damage will be around the cornea or the eyelids the most.
But sore losers always will find their way around. El perro walked to his corner with his tail between his legs,in excruciating pain, he didn't complain about the stoppage,he turned his back and walk away. And now is crying like a ****ing sore loser.
Lara landed 56% of his power shots on his sorry ass face. That was the thumbing.

This thread reminds me of *******s after Rigo vs Donaire ...
Any news of Rigo's drug test? Like the last resort after the ass beating.

I didn't see anything in the fight that made me suspicious of Lara's gloves.

    The scoring was fine.

There is no news on Lara's gloves online.

Here we go again. People looking to burn a fighter at the stake before all the evidence is out.

Wait until we know the score before judgeing.
