Izzy is currently one of my favorite fighters on the boxing scene right now. I wish he would name an opponent already and get his ass back in the ring again and defend his crown. He has a few good options out there right now; a Gonzales rematch, Lopez, Caballero. basically anyone but Marquez because as much fun as that would be, I'd like to see him with someone new for a change and a 4th fight would be too brutal for both guys.
Basically Freddy wasnt spending enough time with Izzy, when Izzy was training for Marquez I Roach was too busy training with DelaHoya, and whatever time he had leftover he spent it with Pacquiao.
lopez - vasquez is the fight i want to see at 122 lbs. i think israel still has a lot in him for lopez.
Izzy said he is coming back in March I believe but he hinted it might be sooner. He didn't name a specific opponent. He left Freddie because Freddie said that Izzy was coming back too soon after the first Marquez fight and slurring his words. He didn't want to be responsible if Izzy got hurt so Izzy got a new trainer.
