I did a google deal about it a few days ago, and it looks like Kirkland will be off for about 18 months, which isnt really that long. It looks like they are looking to make him do 2 years, but they think that it would end up being about 18 months.

Last I read, Golden Boy is standing behind him (lawyers, support), but for now - it's wait and see.

Because as bad a dude as Kirkland is, his trainer is Ann ****in' Wolfe. She seems like she'll whip out a strap on and lay waste to a guy just for the hell of it, let alone for not following orders. And if she wanted to, I don't know who's going to stop her. All this time I thought James was stupid for doing this to get locked up, but I think I may have to change my tune....maybe he was just trying to get away from Brown Sugar and The Intruder and jail's the safer place for him and his rectum.

With his prior convictions he would be looking at 4-5 years normally. But with GBP support and some cash being burned, the likely punishment will be two.

Im imagining that he will do 2/3rds time along with credit for any time served right now, and he will likely end up doing 15 to 18 months.

They need to cut a huge ****ing deal, with supervised monthly parole and house arrest, relocation, and a couple thousand hours of community service.

Guys hate having a PO, but he doesnt have a ****ing choice.

Best case scenario we would see him back in the ring in early more likely mid 2011.

Worst case he does the 4-5 years, and its unlikely he resums his career.

Middle ground, he gets out in 2011, and we see him again in 2012

Exactly. Those who keep bringing up the prison **** issue are probably closet homosexuals that have been sexually abused/turned out while incarcerated.
