They just showed The CroCop vs Gonzaga fight on Spike. That night still bothers me. I hated to see one of my favorite guys go out like that.
at one point I heard he was getting serious about a come back and bulking up and had a few more years left in him. Then last week Dana apperently said that mirko isn't sure what he wants to do.....so it's up in the air at this point.
He has 1 more fight left on his contract. He HAS to win in impressive fashion or the UFC won't have him back and if he doesn't win I don't think CC would want to fight anyway.
Cro Cop is not over rated, that guy has fought the best of the best, and I am willing to bet Gonzaga would never be able to land a kick like that on him again, we have definitley seen Gonzaga try to land that same kick 45 times per fight since. It was a lucky kick and if Cro Cop doesn't get resigned because of a few bad fight then UFC will loose another amazing fighter and he will get signed somewhere else no problem
I wouldnt call it luck.Gonzaga isnt a slouch but his hardly a world beater. The Cro Cop we saw vs Gonzaga was the same lacksidasical and over confident Crop Cop we saw vs Randleman. If you watch the Cro Cop from the OWGP when he beat Silva and Barnett in succesion you will see a stone cold killer. Going forward a focused Cro Cop is truly unstoppable. But once he won the open weight tourny it was as though his desire left him. His rich and well off now.He only fights for his own pride these days in my opnion.
Exactly. To call CroCop overrated is crap. Anyone with half a brain knows the version we saw with Gonzaga is not the best CC.
I don't call CC overrated but it seems most of you's only refer to him as the OWGP winner and that's where his legacy ends. He must have more impressive wins then that doesn't he?.........well he beat Mark coleman like everybody else has...and Alex E. but for having Barnetts number and beat LHW Silva that's about it....should we be really surprised he go t exposed against Gonzaga and CK?
I wouldn't call him overrated because hes always dangerous, but in hindsight, the OWGP was really overblown, only one heavyweight.
You know, people say that CC is some incredible godly fighter......well any half decent fighter would look godly against undersized Japanese pro-wrestlers that CC was fighting alot of the time. The UFC doesn't do that sort of thing, they make good fighters fight other good fighters, no freakshow fights.
