Exactly, if Pride did anything better than the UFC it was marketing fighters, not to make them look exciting and sell tickets (which both orgs did) but market them as gods, superheroes and the like. Pride built up their fighters to epic proportions, I can't blame people for thinking that the Pride fighters were so vastly supeior to everyone else, at least the UFC buyout has addressed some of those opinions.
Give these guiys from Japan a chance. As it stands they are getting exposed. Yet Rampage is champ..It'll be either Hendo or silva at 185. WW Pride had no fighters. Noguiera might become HW champ. Hoping JZ comes over at LW when BJ moves up. By the time you know it all these Pride guys who have been "exposed" are all Champs

It's obvious. Some of you guys don't even know how to be fan - youre not supposed to just cheer for a brand like a soccer fan. Hardcore fans preferred Pride just becasue it was better, more entertaining, better rules, better shows, and yeah it was of a better standard.
When I was into MMA more than I am now, the Pride top heavies were prime Nog, Fedor and Cro Cop. The UFC's were Tim Sylvia and Cabbage. No serious fan can say the UFC ever had better fighters (which is irrelevant anyway) - and who doesn't want to see acromegaly sufferers in mma?

I dont support Pride I specifically said that. Not intersted in soccer-type debates with kids either. All you ever post about is how much Pride sucked, and hence UFC is better. Anyone with eyes knows that wrong. Therefore youre not a real fan, moe of a soccer fan type.
What the hell is this then? Huh? Sounds like you're taking sides to me, don't wriggle out of this and claim neutrality, you're always on Prides side and attacking the UFC.
Neutrality doesnt mean saying two things are exactly the same. Convincing someone Pride had better rules that made for more exciting fights in a non-starter, after all you could like UFC rules more, I dunno. But if you relly think Pride's heydey was not better than anything else in terms of quality, then youre beyond help. Off to TUF with you!
