He's had 3 fight since, drawing against Scott Haywood, I think he has issues with weight..and liked a skimmish. Not sure what's up with him though...looked decent fighter early doors.
To be fare to him, he got robbed against Haywood though. He boxed great that night, he was at a heavier weight than he should have been but boxed great. He lost one round and the ref gave it a draw. Great talent, i believe although could be wrong, that he's signed with the hattons.
Oh ok, Never saw the fight just saw the boxrec. He wasn't a bad fighter when i saw him, i remember him losing to Gethin he didn't look right at all.
Hes boxing in December! If he can get his weight right and keep active he has the potential to go far!!!
I'm a pal of John's and he's saying he's focussed again - though he has said this before. Then again, he admits this and says he's now got a job where he can knock off early to train every day. He looks well and still says he thinks he'll get down to lightweight. However, said, after a warm up, he fancies a match with Ty Nurse.
I was impressed with him when he was first shown on Sky..... but he lacked power - either that or was in with durable lads (or both) Hopefully he sorts out his demons and comes back because he's definitely got potential. Not sure the Nurse fight will happen...... VIP seem determined to keep Nurse on the leash, which is a shame.
