He could retire comfortably now but I heard he wanted two more fight in 2016? Why not Garcia? Marquez wasn't shot yet the last time I saw him. I don't think Garcia would fight him unless he was shot to **** though. Berto vs Marquez? Would definitely watch that.

He's been nursing a knee injury. I think it was a torn meniscus or an acl. (pretty sure it's a meniscus) He injured it in the Alvarado match if I remember correctly.

He has mentioned he wants to come back, but his knee is not responding well to the stress that boxing puts on it. He may be done. Frankly, I'd be fine with him retiring. He has a good gig on Golpe a Golpe, he's made a good deal of money and has been smart about his investments. He really has nothing left to prove, and it would be a shame to see him boxing when he really doesn't have to. Juan is a warrior, and one of the most respected Mexican boxers. I think he can walk away from the sport with pride. He's represented his countrymen well.

He needs to just retire at this point. He's been so inactive the past few years since beating Pacquiao that he's better off not coming back unless it's against a tomato can in a farewell fight in Mexico. He's (was) a great fighter and I don't want to see him possibly lose after coming off an injury at his age. It would be eerily similar to what happened to Maravilla Martinez, who would've destroyed Cotto in his prime.

He's still hoping to make the fight with Cotto as far as I understand. I think that's a bad match-up that I can't see him winning - ideally, he'd retire or have a swansong in Mexico.
