That was a terrible first 5 rounds wish you hadn't brought that fight up now :dead

I though he reconsidered? Did Arnie not post something on here about it a while back ? Might be making **** up here.

Would like to see Hall back was an exciting fighter and could still be a big player domestically.

The demolition job he did on Bradley Pryce was well impressive.

The best Matty can hope for now is Pryce beats Webb and they can set up a rematch, unlikely Pryce beats Webb but other than that he has not got many other possibilities.

I have been told differently since then he can still earn decent money at British level, I think that was just him being pissed off at how **** he was that night.

Few lads from Langley I no say he is not retiring need to speak to Tony or Frankie.

I hope he stays retired unless he has full motivation. He's not the type of fighter that can cruise to paychecks at domestic level even. He needs the motivation or he'll look really bad.

This is just nonsense. Hall certainly had some flaws. But hugely limited? Not even close. He's level was domestic comp but with the right trainer he certainly could have worked his way into the fringes of world class. What he needs is a coach that can harness his punch power and teach him some classic fundamentals rather than encouraging his somewhat feeble Mike Tyson impression. Kid just needs a few confidence boosters. Im sure he'll be back. He was a great addition to the domestic scene.

^^ Totally agree. If Hall really watched what Tyson used to great effect he would do very well. He got a bit one dimensional and didn't really know what he was doing by the looks.

In his last fight i give him his dues he tried to move the head but that wasn't the sorta fight you could try something out and not feel 100% comfortable especially when he came in as a sub.

He needs to work the jab more and apply head movement and when he does get on the inside work!!! and use combinations. He seemed to get lost on inside for some reason...but if he uses short compact shots and soft ones to set up others he could do some damage.

There's a lot to work on with Matty but i like what i saw...he could still have decent career imo.

Edit:What TFFP said was right though...he's sorta guy that needs to be 100% motivated because he will ship punishment and he's sorta guy that seems mentally weakened by poor displays..it may be best he knocks it on head...shame though..he's sorta guy trainers would love to work with i'd think.

The guy is as one dimensional and limited as they come mate.

A cheap imitation of Tyson.. a very poor mans Tyson.

He showed his heart wasn't there at the end of the Konecny fight. His power didn't even trouble Konecny in the slightest. Hall has poor stamina and questionable heart.. not a good combination. Small arms and predictable style and pattern... not difficult to outbox. Small even beat him on the inside and Small can't even throw punches correctly.

Farnell is horrible for Hall though, I agree there.

Lirva you do seem to have a dislike for anyone connected to Farnell. It makes whatever you say seem more of a rant.

Hall is what he is , a banger, not the slickest , not the fastest, not the best. But he was still succesful, he had some good nights and he was fun to watch. Just because someone loses, or gets floored does not mean they are shite. For every man that wins there has to be someone to lose, its the same as any sport. You should try and box yourself it might give you an insight you clearly do not possess right now.
