I agree with you, I don't think Floyd likes fighting 10 oz. gloves. 10 oz. gloves would protect his hands, but the brand of the glove also plays a big role in protecting the hands. Being that Floyd has an excellent defense, and a good chin, he's not going to be worried about the other guy's power. However, he's going to want to get as much power as he can while protecting his hands. The 8 oz. gloves would be a better fit under that scenario.

You were responding to the original BS as though Mayweather was "requesting" 10oz gloves. Same clowns were saying he was "requesting" them against Pac. The point is that you don't request 10oz gloves at WW. You REQUEST 8oz gloves.

So maybe I can't direct it all at you.

I heard that interview where that dj calls out pbf for requesting 10oz gloves when he fought Judah , but I don't know if there is any truth to it... Pbf didn't dispute it though, when the guy said it ... But I don't want to make assumptions

When Mayweather fought Judah, 8 oz. gloves were mandatory for fighters at 147 lbs. and below. So there's no way in hell he would've requested 10 oz. gloves. That DJ made a ton of innacurate statements. However, Floyd is not much of a debator and didn't call him out on a lot of his inaccuracies.

    Have some links?

I just don't get it. Why would he complain against Oscar and be for it against smaller guys? It doesn't make sense.

Sorry ... Maybe I should I have phrased it that I hope he doesn't deny the use of 8oz gloves .. Still you jumped to defend pbf and made some sad claims about glove size

I don't know where you got 60/40 from. I believe you but I would like to see an official source. I know Mosley is the champ and Floyd probably needs this fight for his image and all but still I would have figured Mosley would have topped out at 70/30. If you think mosly got paid like a million dollars for his last fight and he will likely make over 12 for this one thats a huge leap amd he's probably luck to get as much as he will.

Sad claims about glove size? What claims? It is all true. 10oz MUST be worn at 147. 8oz MAY be worn if both fighters agree. I sent you the links. Send the links supporting what you said.

Shane bend over for Floyd put it like that !!!! Shane is meeting every single demand from Mayweather because in Shane position he has no choice regardless if hes the champ. I say the Split is 60/40 or even 70/30 Floyd, 10 oz gloves, and standard ring size.

You seemed to be defending the use of 10oz gloves at 147 , when any professional will tell you that 10oz gloves at 147 and below are too soft ..

And I can't link it , I am on my phone .. Search YouTube for mayweather ra rugged man interview .. Not sure which part of interview has the glove part with the Judah fight , but it's in there

No I am not defending it nor am I speaking on "hardness/softness" I am just saying what is regulation. Regulation states 10oz. To say FMJ (or any other fighter) is "asking" for them is petty. If ANY fight is fought at WW in 8oz BOTH fighters agreed to 8oz gloves. That makes all that silly crap these guys write snickering like chicks about FMJ asking for 10oz gloves nonsense. How do you ask for what is already regulation?

Oh you mean RA the Rugged man. The failed rapper. I heard that one. Just a shouting match. To heated an argument to take either guy serious.

The 'option' happened when one fighter threatened to take the fight out of Nevada because he didn't want the 10 oz gloves. I don't remember what fight that was or who the fighters involved were now. Obviously it was a major player to get that rule change. It was fairly recent though.

It was the Cotto vs. Margo fight that caused the rule amendment.
