I've always thought that would be a tremendous tactic for pulling a female... If I was single of course.

Great! I'll bear that in mind next time I go for an uncomplicated night out with the girls - be wary of guys posing as gays and making moves on us unsuspecting females!

Yes... I can actually do a really convincing gay impression... I'll save that for my personal time.

Problem is if you were too convincing you wouldn't have as much success at pulling (a female anyway)!

Seriously mate if you pick a 220 lb non boxer, even one who knows how to fight the bantemweight will destroy him 9 times out of 10.

I know a fellow who was in the army and he told me about an ocasion where a 220 lb military policeman got into a fight with a UK grade bantemweight and got utterly destroyed.

I disagree with the 9 out of 10 bit.

As said - it is subjective and silly really .. I have an anecdote that completely turns your statement on its head involving an Irish Light Heavy but that is the point really - maybe mine is the 1 in 10 - maybe yours is.

IMO though - surreal Deal's original post in this thread is what i agree with - " All things being equal, he doesn't hit like a girl etc" the MUCH larger man beats the bantamweight.

    Just my opinion :good

I get the idea that the anecdotes where the bantemweight sparks the 220lb man are generaly better substantiated than the anecdotes where Marvin Hagler gets knocked out by the bell boy.

If you're asking me to substantiate the aforementioned anecdote - i could - but over PM - two boxers were involved, one well known by British boxing fans, one by Irish boxing fans.

I'm not naming them nor going into sordid details about a fight in a backstreet pub on a public forum - even if it was in 1990.

    :hi:
