GGG is scared to go down to 155 canelo is scared to go to 160. Canelos team is playing hardball and using 155 as a negotiating tactic. The fight will end up at 157.

 

GGG is ducking a unification fight with Canelo, that much is clear.
We could be looking at 155-160 unification and K2 has to spoil it! :twisted: :-(

If Canelo feels so comfortable at 155, he's more than welcome to come in at 155.. MW is from 154.1 to 160... What does that have to do with the weight GGG comes in at?? As long as it's 160 or below.. Fighters come in below the full limit all the time.. GGG has weighed in at 158 a few times, and his opponent weighed the full limit... It didn't stop him from winning the fight.

 

The WBC is playing favorites there. They don't care what Golden Boy does as long as the WBC is in the hands of Alvarez, where they always wanted it.

People forgot that they gifted him the 154 WBC belt even though he came in overweight against Hatton. They don't really care anymore now that they have Canelo paying them some high fees.

It's so ironic because Canelo says he doesn't want to give any weight advantage to the opponent by going up to 160 "Where I don't feel comfortable," but at the same time says no fight unless Golovkin comes down to 155. He's speaking out of both ends of his mouth.

Canelo can come in anywhere under the MW limit, and Golovkin can come in anywhere under the MW limit. Such a simple solution. It's so hypocritical what Canelo is going right now. It's like Mayweather saying, "I only want an even playing field," and then not allowing the fight unless he gets every ridiculous advantage in his favor.
