He will be back to dominate. I love Shogun, but the rules and scoring are tilted in Rashad's favor. Coming off yet another knee surgery, that has to impact his explosiveness and ability to sprawl, keep it standing. So, after Machida kicks Rampage's legs out, and probably finishes him off in the 3rd, he will be on his way to the belt again, no doubt in my mind.
It is a shame that shogun has suffered so many injuries. hwe is a fery good fighter and I didn't see anyone out there bating him except perhaps machida in a rematch
I do, too feel like Rashad holds the advantage in this fight, but something in me says he shouldn't. I just really do not want to see Rashad pick up the belt, knowing how hard Rua fought against Machida and how he cracked the combination, and how boring Rashad fights these days, and ALWAYS finds himself getting clocked at some point in the fight, which is the only exciting part, only for him to hang on. Sigh. Let's hope the surgery goes very well.
