Any non Mexicans

  1. maybe by blood, but not by culture. there are a lot of immigrants in mexico and to say that theyre not mexican is absurd. i dont know a single person here in mexico that's rooting for martinez. that dude youre talking about is if i m not mistaken. anyway, chavez is a very live underdog. it took sergio 11 rounds to get macklin and barker out of there and chavez is a lot better than they are. if sergio doesnt ko chavez the way he did paul williams in the first 3 rounds, i dont think he'll be able to knock him out at all. if he goes for the knockout early and doesnt get it, he might he might start gassing early...

    I am boricua

I thought that Chavez was to big and too strong at first but his lack of discipline has me leaning toward Sergio

    Chicano-

Junior can beat Marvelous in the same fashion Margarito tapped that ass.

On the other hand, Marvelous can come in on his A game and out manouver Junior to a decision, or if he lands a tremendous power shot like he did on williams, via KO.

    50/50 fight.

Youth vs Experience... I love it!!

i dont think sergio defends himself properly. i am hoping jr's workrate can close the gap and find openings, to take advantage of the many mistakes ; sergio makes in the ring.

JCC Jr does have a good chance especially if he can force this fight on the inside where he can use his superior size and strength to get inside and get to Martinez' body and bully him. With that said I don't think Martinez will play this game. I think he will move and be willing to stay on his bike for a full 12 rounds if need be and outbox JCC Jr on the outside. It really depends on who can force the other man to fight his fight.

    Point taken

Sergio has his work cut out for him no doubt about it. I was never very impressed with jr but he mowed down a highly skilled middle weight in Lee and it seems as if he captured some of his fathers mojo in that aspect.

Great minds think alike lol.....I think we can all agree if jr looks impressive in this fight he automatically becomes a freaking icon.

If Martinez does not knock him out, Chavez will get the decision.

Martinez brings a skill set and ability that can either baffle the **** out of Chavez all night or leave him vulnerable for a long and painful beat down. I wouldn't scratch out the possibility of Martinez landing a bomb on jr from some odd angle and ending things on a flurry.

Mexican American and I got Martinez. :-( sorry but I don't buy that bad luck bit compadre.

Anyways, Sergio will have a tough fight due to Jr.'s size and power, but I think he will be able to time and catch Jr. rushing in. Jr. Does have a good chin but Sergio will give him a reality chin check. Jr. will realize Martinez can crack and start second guessing his attacks.

Martinez usually takes the middle rounds off, if Chavez can jump on him during those rounds and work the body, then he's got a good chance at stopping the Argentino. Otherwise Sergio is just going to come out stronger in the late rounds countering Jr. and might stop him.
