Totally agree. I read an article on Maxboxing that Teddy Atlas and Brian Kenny were asked to leave ringside because their commentating was putting off the fighters? They were commenting on how corrupt and unjust the amateur system is at the moment. The AIBA is a joke.

craig christian has some handy amateurs over here in perth , brandon ogilvie just turned pro after a successful amateur career and he looks to have a lot of potential that i am excited about also, i don't follow the ams that closely as i find a lot of the time a successful amateur does not translate well in to the pro divisions.

but they all play AFL , rugby league, union, basketball, or olympic sports.

then, asfter all these sports have had the pick of the talent, boxing is left with whats left. wwe havent a lot left.

all im saying is that like RL, AFL, etc, boxing, promotors etc, should look to the PI's for talent as it isnt as hen pecked as here, and talent abounds, so im told of a businessman who works in samoa.

If you want to see any amateurs who have good potential to make it as a pro the National Golden Glove titles are on this weekend in Brisbane. last year they had over 150 fights over the tournament and this year they will probably have more. They are also having the trials for the youth national team there next weekend as well to select the team for the world youth championships in Thailand, best bet where you will find the future pro talent.
