Here we go again writing out of your backside again.

The McDonnell fight was secured before Burns signed for Matchroom. Hobson initially tried to negoitiate with Sky then Burns was signed for Matchroom and Eddie decided to put Burns on 11 May.

One of the very last days for Hobson to put on the fight in the UK and secure home advantage for McDonnell was 11 May.

So nobody on here even knows who he's fighting??

And you wonder why it's not being shown on any of the big stations or even mainstream tv,nobody gives a toss.

Julio Ceja a mexican fight with a 24-0 record who I believe has never fought outside of mexico. But his knockout ratio is highly impressive.

Whether people know the opponent or not is irrelevant so your mocking post has no relevance whatsoever.

If however you were to say boxing is a minority sport in the UK and thats why a fight of this sort is struggling then you would have a point. It is only the hardened boxing fans who love the sport will watch this fight outside of Doncaster.

You mean to tell me if Jamie was fighting Santa Cruz or someone with a half decent name it still wouldn't get shown?

It's a no interest fight, even if it is a for a world title.

Back in the day Sky probably would have shown it but we have Matchroom now and they pick what we should watch on Sky.Having Tony Bellew and Kell Brook title eliminators rammed down our throats seems to be the order of the day.

I hope it does get shown somewhere because I would surely watch and I think Jamie deserves it too.

    Correct!!!!!

Whatever the opponent Jamie was facing there was always going to be problems getting him screen time.

What further compounds the problem for this fight is on that day its the FA Cup final and it doesnt kick off until 5.15pm.

I love boxing and so do the majority of people who visit boxing forums, but, there are not that many of us.

The sooner we as fans get used to boxing being a minority sport the better, because then we might not be so critical in our comments on here and other boxing forums.

It is only the very top level fights/fighters in this country which get decent TV viewing figures, that is a fact.

  8. I used to like watching Jamie on sky he has a high energy style with high punch output and great fitness

So this his crowning moment win or lose for it to be played out on ppv on a night when burns fights mandatory and choi simpson is a big shame for everyone concerned
