Gassiev vs Dorticos was also in Russia and there was NO sign at all they want to screw the scorecards. The scorecards after round 11 were pretty solid. Gassiev was up closely there and i think it was correct.

    105-104 Gassiev
    106-103 Gassiev
    106-103 Gassiev

I gave 7 rounds to Gassiev and 4 to Dorticos so my scorecard was 106-103 for Gassiev.

I don't think he can KO Gassiev, too big and tough.

Breidis fight could've gone either way, he should be happy he got the nod on the road. Stop with the pre-installed excuses: he's such a favorite that if all the talk about his mobility, adaptability and IQ is true, he should win comfortably.

If he over-estimates his abilities however (did somewhat vs. Breidis) and underestimates Gas' (who in 2 quick years became a force), then Usyk will undo himself in a razor-thin fight, on the back foot with pity-patty punches. The decision to impress judges and take rounds BIG is in his hands, and if he chooses the style wrong, he shouldn't blame the officials preferring the pro-active, forward-moving fighter with the harder blows.

This might actually be the very first time i slightly even agree with your thought process. You may have a point here, I mean just look at the World Cup bracket Russia ended up with. I’m going to remain optimistic and hope for a neutrality.

Maybe we should find out who the judges are before thinking Usyk won’t get a fair fight? Of the three judges in the Glowacki fight, which was in Poland, not one was Polish. And one of the judges was Adelaide Byrd!

Also, Russians like Ukrainians. If Usyk wins you will see that the Russian crowd will show him respect.

The judges for the Briedis fight were neutral: 2 Canadians and 1 American.
I doubt this will change for the final fight.

LOL, this is ridiculously wrong! :nonono

But, to be fair, Usyk does have some fans in Russia. Let's say he's a special Ukrainian for them.

This is my experience also. The average Russian considers Ukrainians to be like fellow countrymen. They speak the same language and have just about everything in common.

Can you imagine if they hired expert Weeks to referee the match?

As long as Usyk avoids getting knocked down he should cruise to a comfortable decision.

They should have fought in Oakland with Toney “Hit dat groin all” Weeks as referee.

I think that, even if the fix is in (and it probably is) -

if Usyk wins by decision, it will be a VERY wide decision. He'll probably, realistically, win every round, unless Gassiev gets a KD, or of course a KO. So, it will be pretty hard for even the CJ Ross's & Adelaide Byrd's of the world to fake a Gassiev decision.

But hey, this is boxing. The most unregulated sport in the world.
It's why I never bet real money.

It actually seemed like the referee was favoring the Ukrainian fighter Klitschko. He got away with a lot of illegal stuff in that fight.
