very touching and moving. even joe frazier seems to have buried the hatchet with towards the end. please watch if you get the chance.:thumbsup
Great movie, I heard the same creators or working on Facing Tyson now, that should be interesting, but I can't see it being better than Ali
And always will. I think it has more to do with Ali getting all the popularity in the long run than him losing two out of three of the fights. He's the first to give Ali his first loss and he doesn't seem to get any credit whatsoever for it so showing some blind rage like that could be normal for him, after all this is a brutal sport and people involved got to be brutal inside and outside otherwise they won't go far. Didn't Henry Cooper get the "Sir" title in England just for knocking Ali down?, what did Frazier get for beating him?, that all counts up. Rocky, a movie character even though a great one, got a statue in Philadelphia, I don't think there's a popular poster of Frazier there. That all adds up too and many more to mention I'm sure you know anyway.
Foreman and lyle , i thought, came out ok. everybody else was a little shaky in in the talking catagory.Ironically those two guys fought a war.
....and is why Holmes carries major resentment and so does Foreman to a lesser degree, but you can't say these guys have a right to hate him. Frazier has a right to feel the way he does. But he doesn't have the right to joke that Ali is the way Ali is now because of their three fights.
Yeah, it may have looked like they buried the hatchet, but I think Joe Frazier will always - always hold a grudge against Ali. He was treated like absolute **** by Ali, and I can't say I blame him, to be honest. It's easy for us to say let bygones be bygones, but none of us can understand how much mental pain Ali put Frazier through, even after Frazier had his back when he was in exile. Hell, I love Ali, but even I don't forgive him for how he treated Frazier!
i agree . must a got an easy sentence to kill somone , do time, get out, go fight a couple titles, and make a documentary
To listen to what George Chuvalo has gone though was really sad. Anything anyone else had a grievance about suddenly became trivial and petty.... anyone else feel that way?
As I said, this is a brutal sport and the people involved in it would be as brutal if not more brutal, that's how it is otherwise we won't be discussing him. He hasn't gotten any of the attention he deserves and he, like all others, put his life on the line so of course he would be pissed till the day he dies. Some forget and some don't, he obviously doesn't. No, I'm not saying that this can be justified or is right, all I'm saying is there's a reason behind it and that's obviously the reason whether it's good or bad. If you notice, Frazier doesn't look any healthy either, he falls in the same category as Norton I would say in terms of speech. Foreman came out healthiest and he would have been forgotten as well if it wasn't for the come back, KO of Moorer and involvement in business.
