Marciano is the only Heavyweight fighter to retire undefeated. but did any other Heavyweights reach 49-0? Eventhough they eventually lost later on.

I think Brian Nielson was one fight short before losing to the great Dickie Ryan who probably worked on Nielsons car before the fight.

Did Holmes match it? Fall one win short, or made it to 50. before eventually losing.

Tommy Gibbons came close. He was 51-0-4 (1 NC), counting newspaper decisions, before Greb beat him.

Brian Nielsen was 49-0 before losing.

The next one to get close after Marciano was Foreman I think? Think he got to 40-0 with 37 KO's which is staggering in itself. Says something about what a feat Ali pulled off in ending the streak - Foreman was on a streak of 24 straight KNOCKOUTS (!!!) only 4 of which went beyond 3 rounds!!!! Foreman's record is phenomenal in my opinion

Pretty shocking that after Marciano retire, there was more unbeaten champions than ever.

Johnson, Louis, Dempsey, Corbett, and others have tasted defeat when they won the title.

After Marciano retire, we Had Ali, Fraizer, Foreman, Spinks, Holmes, Tyson, Bowe, Holyfiled, Ingo and others win the title with out a lost.

In another thread PP just picked Wladimir Klitschko to knockout Joe Frazier. He clearly hates whites.

True but if you look at Foreman's record you will see the biggest bunch of stiff, Neilson as well there was some speckling of decent opponents but Foreman fought fighters late in his career that were meant to be opponents for 4 rd fighters
