I do. Floyd is 32- 33 yrs old coming off a long respite, who the **** knows how his body would react. JMM is 36 but have shown no deterioration whatsoever except getting hit more(more of a style change). People also forget to mention that JMM has serious speed as well, good enough to hang with PAC, so there goes one of Floyds advantages As for Hatton being set with his style, so is Floyd. He fights one way, defense first and looks to counter. This isnt exactly the most efficient style against a just as patient fighter like JMM. If JMM manages to land his patented 3-4 punch combos in spots (no one, no one has ever avoided it) he can steal a decision. Nacho is also IMHO the best trainer in the world. Even a great analytical guy like Roach couldnt figure him out
he's got the skills to do it at 135lbs. 140+...its an unfamiliar territory and i think he gets slower but stronger. He has a chance.
Good point. Has Marquez ever fought a fighter of Mayweather's caliber whilst also giving away a size advantage? Works both ways.
Lets go Marquez!! This will definitely be PBF's toughest fight IMO. I'm rooting for Marquez till the end, some of you guys are hoppin back on floyd's dick you gotta remember this fighter came close to beating pacquiao 2 times ! and is very crafty.
It COULD DEFINIINITELY HAPPEN.... WILL IT??? It depends on how good he puts on the weight... we'll see.
I do believe JMM has the skills and heart to give floyd hell and can actually beat him! I still favor floyd though.
I"m rootin for him... Don't think he can though. At the end of the day, we don't really know what's gonna happen til it happens. We'll just have to see what the #2pfp is made of come July.
floyds the bigger man but floyd doesn't jump on you, he will box and pick it up later in the fight. marquez is a slow starter (pacman fight, juan diaz fight), this can work agianst floyd. once juan gets his rhythm, he is one bad man. still i pick floyd to win, but it is surely his hardest fight.
Agreed. If he can hang with Pac he should most definently be able to present some problems. Also I can see both Floyd and Marquez having to come out of there element in spots, coming forward and being the aggresor. Honestly I see it going the distance and Floyd getting the decision which will be disputed.
I give JMM a better chance than most people do, something like 65/35 for Floyd. This is going to be a chess match with no engagement whatsoever unless Floyd wants to test his physical advantages over JMM which I doubt he will do since he wouldnt even do it with Hatton. Also, whenever Pacman gets one of these big wins at the bigger weights it raises JMM's stock too at these weights, even though he hasnt never fought above 135 yet. I know the world wants PBF to win to set-up PBF/Pac supermegafight but Im rooting for JMM to upset Floyd.
Most Pacfans will root for Marquez because they know his capabilities, but of corz the only thing they want Mayweather to win is to set up a super bout with Pac.
