One of the best Muay Thai fighters of all time, beat the Thais at their own game. How about a matchup between a prime Dekkers and Buakaw? If Buakaw got into th ehabit of using his hands more like he does nowadays, I see Dekkers taking it handily. I believe Buakaw was better when he concentrated on using his legs. Would be a tougher matchup for Dekkers.

Ramon to my eyes definently has the better hands. Several times in this video he finishes fighters with picture perfect left hooks.

Baukaw has incredible kicks and knees though, in particular the extension of his knees is beautiful to watch.

Tough call, they both fight with abandon.

1:33 of the video reminded me of round 12 of De La hoya v. Quartey.

    Dekkers is an animal.

Don't know the first thing about Muay Thai, but I know a beautiful left hook when I see one. Thanks for putting me up on this guy. Wow.

A bit of Buakaw for comparison. More of the essential Muay Thai fighter in his style than Dekkers.

The more I watch this the more I think Dekkers could get inside on him. Baukaw has a relaxed style that borders lazy sometimes because he is so confident in his athleticism.

With Dekker's straight forward style, and given Baukaw's attitude that he can bang with anyone, I think at some point Dekkers finds himself on the inside. If he avoids the clinch he could use his hands effectively.

Lets not get crazy. Dekkers was very good and probably best of the foreigners competing in Thailand's strongest weight divisions but not the best of the Nak Muays. I would put Jomhod(who beat the **** out of Ramon), Samart, Orono(another winner over Ramon), Danny Bille(another winner over Ramon), and a few others over him.

In his prime, he was 140 lbs. Buakaw is naturally bigger, stronger, faster and more technical. It would be a schooling. Danny Bille vs Buakaw would be interesting though.

Charlie would **** em both up. He won a gold medal at the Russian special olympics for crying out loud.
